School Recycling Programs
The Solid Waste Management Office works closely with school districts, teachers and
students to educate youth about environmental issues and provide important recycling services
to the community as well as the schools. See below for information regarding some of the programs and services
available.

| Classroom Presentations-Recycling |
Students will learn about recyclables and how to sort their garbage student gift
package provided. |

Classroom Presentations-Pollution Prevention (PDF) |
Students will learn how the water cycle, drinking water and storm drain system all tie
together student gift package provided. |

California Materials Exchange (CalMAX) |
State funded exchange program to provide businesses, schools and non-profits with unwanted
materials from other businesses and organizations. |
| All Recycled Things (ARTS) |
FREE arts and crafts supplies available for teachers and churches. |
|
Phone Book Recycling |
Drop-off phone books for FREE in the convenient bins during the yearly recycling collection. |
